can i put the the engine and trans from a 1996 saturn SW1 in a 1995 jetta?

the body is starting to fall apart on my saturn but the engine is still really good so i was
just wanting to know if it would fit in my jetta that needs one

You can put any engine into almost any car, BUT the modifications and expense would not make it a practical idea, so my answer is NO! tony5151

And from the VW Purity Enforcement Committee...HELL NO! BTW, with GM support for Saturn evaporating, you should rid yourself of that Saturn...maybe sell the drive train on Craigslist.
