99 chevy suburban(not 4x4)

this suburban sits in the back yard and starts up every 2 weeks drive around and back to the back yard. This past weekend did not want to start. battery low replaced it. now the truck does not turn over. I don't hear the fuel pump(mixed hum noise) when the key turns to on position. Where should I begin?

Check your connections and confirm the battery is fully charged. Confirm battery negative at the side of the starter. Check for battery positive at the "S" terminal on the starter while someone holds the ignition key in the "START" position. if you see battery power, replace the starter. If not trace the wiring. Wiring diagrams are available at FreeAutoMechanic.com
