1999 Chevy Malibu 3.1 L V6

My Malibu just stopped running it would crank run
a second and die we changed fuel pump and filter
and the air filter still the same the thrift system
light stays on so I cleaned the MAF same thing and
then I put in a new ignition cylinder and tried to
restart the thrift system with the key in the on
position but light won't go off or it won't start car
so I am at a loss here
