My clutch pedal has gone to the floor, I thought it was just the cable but my garage says the gearbox has to come out, to find out what is wrong, and it could be clutch. Is this right?

It is possible what they are saying. If your in doubt about them take it to someone else for a second opinion.

Thanks, they said it could be the clutch or gearbox or both, but I had no prior warning, like crunching gears or anything prior to the pedal hitting the floor. I'm hoping it's just the clutch!
