Hello there, I own a 1999 VW Cabrio. I drove down the street and it stalled. Then when I tried to restart the car, it would turn over but not start. My Brother in law came to pick me up and is good with cars. He looked under the hood and as I would crank the car, sparks would come out of the ignition coil. It is located at the top back of the engine compartment at the center of the windshield. It has two bolts that hold it on and the center wire from the Rotor runs to it. I replaced mine at Napa for $79.99 and started right up. Good Luck
