1999 cabrio front seats are very wobbly, and hard to adjust front to back - any suggestions?

The two "legs" in the rear of your seat might have lost the plasic spacers. These are really important for the ajustment, and the stabilize the seat. Your local VW dealer can get these for you (or you can find them on ebay), and they are really cheap and easy to change. This is a link for DIY.... (NB!
