Bad gas mileage and headlight

I bought a 98 vw cabrio, 181,000 miles. We are
getting bad gas milage and night time driving is
not pleasant with the poor headlights. My husband
has adjusted the lights and nothing helps.

Install new bulbs as old bulbs can lose brightness. Buy the type that claims to give more light. If the lenses are yellow, install new ones. Older lights will never be as good as newer cars.
