Noo tail light or brake lights on a 1989 Toyota celica not a fuse what are some other things to check for?..

Hi just found out that my brake and tail lights just went out. Thought it might be a fuse by
what I read here, but not bad fuses. :-( What's the next thing I should check?

First you must check that there is a good gound to the back lights. It should be a common ground, then with a test lamp chek if there is 12 v .Remember the brake lights work without the switch in on position.
