I haven never heard of this model before: TOYOTA COROLLA 1.3 DX AUDM Spec GT hybrid,, is it a modified car? It was made in Europe.

did the owner swap a new engine in it because there was no 1987 toyota hybrid the first was made in 2000 or something if it is hybrid it should have two or more batteries in it in the back

4A-GE is 1.6 liter engine, so it's modified. I'd guess the owner has put 4A-GE head on top of 2A block, so it would be 1.3l. It's quite common mod here in Finland in Toyota Tercels and Starlets, when you want more power but can't have a bigger engine in the car. So it's possibly one of these "2A-GE" engines.
