99 blazer say theres no gas won't start

I have a 99 blazer that shut off while
driving I had a 1/2 tank of gas before it
shut off now its saying no gas... I put 3
gallons in it and it's still saying no gas and
won't start... HELP!

check the fuel pump, the float & pump are one unit. also check connections.
