Honda Civic 1988 (4th gen) fuel pump is not located in the fuel tank. Anybody have any idea where this would be?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have already dropped the fuel tank and the location where the fuel pump would usually be
is covered over entirely. Have not been able to locate anywhere else. Anybody have any
advice?

not familiar with that specific model, but if it's in the tank, follow the fuel line out, and check on the inside of the frame rail. Also, I have had luck at my local napa store with questions like that.
