Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When driving the car will just cut off.  Many opinions that it is carberator.  When you try to restart you may have to wait awhile.  It may or may not cut off again.  For quite a while there was a chirping sound from the ignition area????

Turned out it was the ignition coil. We had one installed when the car was first repaired. Our mechanic took another look and discovered the new rebuilt was defective. He ordered another one and it was also defective the 3rd one was fine. This was an 86 Civic. Very hard to find parts for.
