What is the best engine replacement for my 1985 toyota Camry le

I have over 190thousnd miles on my Camry and I want to swap out engines
either for a updated version of the same or  go with a V pattern

With regular maintenance and care...!90,000 mile is just about the end of the "Break In" period for these older engines. I have seen them go 250,000 before they start consuming to much oil, Having said that, you might consider the nearest well stocked junk yard Their Computer has Interchange Software which will indicate what engines will swap into you vehicle.
