Fuses / electrical issues for rear tail light system

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Which fuses are responsible for the back-up tail lights and running-lights

I have a 2008 CL550 w/ 36k on the odo and I get the "left rear back up light out" message. Turns out, the light bulb is fine, it's something else as attaching a 9v battery lit it up just fine. Replacing the entire assembly (3 bulbs attached to a short wiring harness) did not solve the problem. What gives? I don't think you'll find the solution in the fuse box. But let me know, thanks, Peter (peterbbell@gmail.com)
