Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got in to start car. It cranked over as if to
start but then died within 3 sec. Now won't

all come on but engine not even trying to
crank over.  Steering wheel is unlocked
and hear the fuel pump come on. Help

Sounds to me like your car battery just does not have enough power to turn over the starter. Battery is not fully dead so you still get the fuel pump and dash lights on, but the battery requires more amps to turn over the starter. Try jumping it or calling for Mercedes roadside assistance for a jump.

We did try jumping it and replaced the crank position sensor Jump had no affect nor did the sensor.
