I have a 2005 E 500 mercedes that has been a wonderful and dependable auto. However all the sudden it started this malfunction where uou csn drive it 15 min and the engine will just shut off. Why?

I would check the mercedes forums and see if anyone eles with a 05 E500 has had this issue and go from there.try: MBWORLD.org

Well after a quick search it seems this is a common problem, and is caused by the crank shaft position sensor, they run about $60 bucks on ebay it requires a E8 torx and takes about 10 minutes to change out.
