car is stuck in lowest gear

Asked by lexxus Dec 07, 2012 at 11:12 AM about the 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 320 4MATIC

Question type: General

I spilled water in the gear box; since that time I cannot get it to go in first gear it is in the lowest gear.  The car starts okay, drives okay, but it is in the lowest gear.  Also I cannot put it back into "park" unless I shut the car off.

1 Answer

I immediately used the hair dryer on the gear box. Isn't there a selinoid or fuse or something that the water blew out
