I have a 2000 Malibu that the antitheft light won't go off how do I get it to go off

If you have another key try that first ... if it starts with the other key then Odds are the small battery inside the non-working key is dead. Most are easy to get too .. First closely observe the plastic covering on the key to see if there are any obvious ways to pop it open ... if not then look at the seam and see if you can get a small blade into the seam to pop it open ... of course be careful and good luck /// Ebay has the batteries but perhaps you can find one locally
