How do you lower the rear head rests on a 2002 CLK320 convertible ? They are locked into the up position and the convertible top will not operate while they are in this position.

the switch, ( i am sure you tried), remove the positive battery cable, touch it to the negative terminal, (won't do anything), hold it for 30 seconds/ a minute, (This drains the remaining energy in the computer resetting it), reconnect it, turn the car on, do any light indicators come on? and try to lower them via the switch, if that doesn't work, and no lights on, the switch itself may need to be reset...let me know

really? at least on 2005 theyres a mechanical button about 10" below the headrest!...use a bright flashlight, and a 12" thin screwdriver or like and push the button down AND at the same time push downn the headrest till it locks back in place....you can find this in your manual under how to reset roll bar...fast bumps or erratic driving will set them off!!
