Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Since I can't see which gear I'm in - the light isn't working, and I need to replace the "bulb", does this require removing the whole dash unit?

Oh Bologna! There has to be a way to replace the bulb without having to buy a whole cluster. Bulbs blow out all the time for several reasons and to think that GM would ignore this possibility and force someone to have to buy a cluster is ridiculous! If anything soldering could be done to replace, because even used clusters can be expensive! Hell, why would someone whose driven at least twice even need to see, you know by clicks as you are shifting. WTF
