Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Mercedes CLK 430 convertible.  I've had it a year, finally decided to try letting the top down.  I followed the directions, it started to open, then it stop.  I was able to get it closed, but now there is a gap in the back I can't get the trunk open even with the key.  Now the button for the convertible stop stays on and it flashes when starting the car.  I've tried to lower the top, but nothing happens now.  Any ideas, what the problem could be.
