Lift it to its highest point and take a look under the seat at the area around the runners, make sure all the mechanism is free from obstruction.

Thank you! I found a pen in the track, but the driver's seat still seems higher than the passenger's seat. I'm 5 ft 8 and a girl! I know taller and bigger men drive this vehicle! My top of my head skims the roof when I'm driving! Any more thoughts?

Mercedes electric seats aren't something that go wrong often and when they do it's usually down to the switch panel. My suggestion would be to try playing around with the seating position before throwing money at it. Try moving the seat forward and then lowering it some more.
