I have a Mercedes CLK320 1999 the driver seat is stuck in one position when going forward and backward. What can I check out before buying help!

The passenger seat is fine, but the driver seat won't move forward or backward. My car is
a two door, the head and back part of the seat works fine.

Sometimes its just the fuse ! It happened in my car ! Hopefully its not the motor or it will be expensive ! Check the fuse & sensors ! Thats a huge savings !
