How to repair intermittent loss of cabin heat when temperature gauge shows that vehicle is overheating and it is not overheating.
Found at times that hoses to heater core will go cool, temp gauge will rise
quickly to the orange area, and air temp from heater will go cool. This may
happen at idle and sometimes when vehicle is being accelerated.
When temp gauge is showing that vehicle is overheating, the air temp out
of the heater is cool. When the temp comes down, the air temp out of the
heater warms up (gets hot).
