Trac off system will not turn off to allow smogging

Asked by RD64 Jul 08, 2013 at 10:17 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet Impala FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Two years ago I had my 2000 Impala smogged and had the same problem. We had to remove a fuse from the driver's side fuse block to disable the Trac system. We tried all the fuses today, but without success. I'm thinking there may have been a sequence or something we reset before, that we missed today..Has anyone experienced this and know the procedure?

1 Answer

Finally disconnected electrical connection to ABS system under hood and was able to smog car.
