I saw this all the time at BMW in Denver. Esp when it snowed. I always replaced the steering knuckle, wheel bearing, and strut. Sometimes I would also have to replace the lower control arm. The tires would blow on these vehicles too. Also some of the time the side airbags would deploy. I would highly recommend turning things like this into your insurance because it always ends up being more than expected.
