Chances are that your gas gauge itself is not accurate and so when it says "full", it is really only about 1/2 full. Try filling it up completely!! and then set your odometer (or at least check the readout yourself) to see "how many" miles you go before "it dies". Then check that number against what the manual (or searching online) says you should get for that car per mile - or per tank - you know what I mean, I hope. Find out that way if your gauge is close to accurate. If that is not the problem, check to make sure your actual gas tank is not damaged/bent and holding gas in some corner well.

The gage is good , I filled up all the way a few times and it dies at the same level. I'm getting the right mileage at the half tank
