My c230 kompressor 2004 will start up but cut off before I can put it into gear, it's like it has run out of gas but I have a full tank

You own a Mercedes Benz, unfortunately yes it will be. I would ask around and find a good mechanic who specializes in European vehicles rather than a dealer. Should be much cheaper.
