Have a 1996 C220 4 cyl. 4 speed

Shifter on D how many time should it change gears going down the road, cus mine only shifts 3 times and RPM is at 3100 at 70 mph. is this good or bad.

i have the same transmission and it would only shift 3 times cause its a 4 speed (<=shift) 1<2<3<4 I have the AMG version and 3000 rpm is normal at that speed, as long as you are getting over 24mpg you are fine
