Indicator door ajar light

The button on the car key to lock the car won't work and the door indicator  
light won't  go off.

You have a bad door ajar switch. Key fob will not lock door if it is open.

I have to lock the car manually,but the indicator light still stays on. Would I need to replace the key and would it effect the car from starting?

Can some please help me have the same problem with my Yaris 2012 model automatic ajar door light stays on and key lock central don't lock but only opens to unlock but don't lock only locks manually what do I do please.
