Interchanging Altanators for a 2000 chevy cavalier

I have a base model 2000 chevy cavalier 2.2 with a
bad altenator and have found a matching one out
of a pontiac (I don't know model but think it was a
v 6) and was wandering if that part interchanged?  I
know the sun fire and cavilier do but I'm just not
sure what kind of this altenator  came from. It
matches perfect t though? ?

DOES IT ALL MATCH UP...MOUNTING HOLES..PULLY COULD BE SWAPED..THE IMPORTANT THING IS THE AMPERAGE OUTTHE SAME OR MORE AMPS GOOD..LESS.NOPE...AND THEY SHOULD HAVE ONE THERE FOR YOUR CAR THEY ALSO HAVE A CHANGE OVER BOOK/PROGRAM THAT WILL LET YOU KOW....GOOD LUCK ..
