Asked by hugoarteaga Dec 09, 2014 at 11:43 AM about the 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

PCM 10A fuse in the passenger fuse block has melted. I put a good fuse but the car does not get ignition. Gas Pump Relay does not get activated.

You will need a Fuel Injector Noid Light, a multimeter, and another person . One to keep eye on light and multimeter and another to crank car. Locate fuel injector and disconnect, insert noid into connector, have asstinant crank car. repeat on other three.

Noid light Flashes circuit okay, noid light did not flash power or on/off signal from pcm is missing, noid light lit brightly but did not flash pcm is shorted to ground. So before you buy a new computer, get a wiring diagram for your car and check the wires connections.
