While removing straps, there is a nut on one, and a bolt on the other. The nut broke off, but the bolt made a loud pop, now the bolt just spins but won't come out. Iv'e tried prying on it, I'm stuck!

use a hack saw to cut it off,dont use anything that will cause sparks,what happened is the threads on the bolt striped out.make sure your battery is disconnedted.

Sounds logical, but I also can't figure out how I'm going to reattach this strap. Have you done this one before, because the bolt goes into the cross member, you cant see inside it. I dont want to take any chances of loosing my tank while driving down the highway.

while the gas tank is out,it will be safe to weild a new bolt in its place.their is always tricks to the trade that can be done.this is the only way it can be fixed.
