hi roadrunner, The fuel economy for this car is 16city/20hwy. As for the recalls. It seems there were a few minor recalls on the vehicle such as brake lights and hazards and such, but nothing too major. If you want to check out the list of recalls as well as customer complaints you can go to the following website: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/recalls/

The only thing I have found wrong with my blazer was the fuel gage and it has been said before about it but after filling it to the top it started tell me the truth would never trade it in for a minor thing like that I get about 25 miles to the gallon on the hwy
