Asked by Chad M. Feb 14, 2019 at 09:44 AM about the 2006 Dodge RAM 2500 SLT Mega Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 2500 ram mega cab 4x4
5.9 Cummins. It is loaded out with
Banks upgrades: CAI, Higg Ram Air, 6
gun tuner, custom exhaust, etc. I
bought it this way 4 years ago. I just
replaced both batteries and the
alternator. My voltage guage on the
instrument panel reads high. Is this
normal? If not what is causing it?

Connect jumper cables and tap the opposite ends together on the free side and if it makes a huge firey spark than its correct in the gauge but if it makes an ish big one than your fine. Try on both batteries of course
