have a 2000 chevy blazer only goes 10mph in drive transmission is not shifting I need some help?

fixed the front actuator and put in a new 4x4 switch in the cab was running fine when I got back in to town from a long trip next morning my wife drove to the gas station and the problem started I think its driving in 4 wheel drive and wont switch back to 2 high and the person that owned it before must have broke the 4 wheel drive some how idk?

Is the 4WD light on indicating that it is actually in 4WD? Even if it was in 4WD, you should be able to get it above 10mph. Unless it is somehow in 4 wheel low. Which it shouldn't be. Is this the electronically engaging 4WD? Most people rip those out just for this issue. They put in the old manual hubs instead. My grandfather got rid of the electronic nightmare and put in the old locking hubs. But most likely it's you Transfer Case Control Module that is bad. It should be located behind your passenger side kick panel.

the 2 problems are not related. Regaurdless of 4x4 selection the trans will shift.
