Brake stuck.is it Still on the hoist with the wheels off the ground?

you may need to use a ball-peen hammer on that parking brake, vice grips it into the released position and hammer the mechanism until it yields~

disconnect the negative cable for three minutes to cause a "global reset", any of the systems that were stuck should release themselves~

2004----you aren't running with the original battery? batteries will degrade 10% per year, in other words the ability to accept a charge degrades so after ten years has trouble taking a charge...get yourself a new battery, this may take the kinks out of you troubles in terms of reliable ground connections and quality of power~
