05 Dodge Ram 1500 wont start

Asked by Mark Jan 24, 2019 at 07:37 PM about the 2005 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Dodge ran fine earlier today and this
evening went to start it nothing. Could
not hear fuel pump turn on so thinking
thats the problem. I noticed little red
lightning bolt light in between 2 red lines
on dash below " door ajar" light. I read
this is about throttle body but will it come
on if fuel pump fails? Any help is
appreciated

The lightning bolt is a warning that there is a problem with the electronic throttle.

I have found this out thru several things Ive read. Just curious is it specifically the throttle bottle or could it be a fuel related issue such as the fuel pump because I dont not hear the fuel pump come one prior to turning the ignition? Thank you
