05 Ram 1500 4.7L 4WD Transfer case linkage

There are two linkages listed for my truck.  Dorman 962-
883 and 962-884.  They’re slightly different.  Wasn’t sure
which one is correct or if it even matters.

Part Number 962-884 fits 2005-2003 models 2500 and 3500 and fits 2004 model 1500 with standard and automatic transmission. Part Number 962-884 fits 2500 and 3500 from 2006 to 2012.

I spoke to my mechanic friend, he says that part Number 926-884 should fit your truck. Since you have had this confusion, I would purchase the part at a local auto parts and asked for the specific year and model truck that it fits. If still there is a problem, you can just take it back.

Thanks. Unfortunately I’m in Hawaii and nobody has it in stock or can get it here before 2 weeks. The auto stores all say it’s 926-883...but the old one from the truck looks like it’s a 926-884...So I ordered both on Amazon since I’m getting conflicting data. At least they aren’t overly expensive. I appreciate the help.
