2005 Ram 5.7 Hemi Brake issue

Asked by lncbggs Oct 08, 2018 at 06:54 PM about the 2005 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Okay so my truck had a rear tail light bulb out I
changed it and everything worked great. Then I
was told that same light was out again. It's the
bottom tail light bulb on driver side. Drove with it
like that for a minute. My buddy stopped me today
and told me that both my brake lights aren't
working. So I thought maybe if I changed the one
bulb they'll start working again knowing that's
probably not the case. Keep in mind all the tail
lights work just not the brake lights. I fixed the one
tail light that was burnt. It had exploded there was
broken glass in the assembly. After I changed that
bulb it works when hitting the brakes. All the tail
lights work but not the other three when hitting the
brakes. Help???

Do you have trailer wiring?? I would check there for broken and corroded wires.
