I have a 05 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.7, i found a
2018 engine with transsmion for a good deal would
it fit or would i have any complications by doing so

You will have complications. You need the complete engine, wiring, smog system and ECU to make this work. In my opinion not worth it unless you have serious emotional attachments to the old truck.

They are essentially the same engine but cam and crank signals will be different. 2018 will have multidisplacement engine. In 05 they werent using them in trucks. In my oppinion it will take a lot of added work to make it run and drive with no check engine light.
