I have a 2004 Dodge RAM with the 4.7 v8 when ever the weather gets cold the engine will jerk when you give it any heavy gas if you slowly press the pedal it doesn't do it

does the engine cel come on? when's the last time u changed the fuel filter?

The light comes on when I start my truck and then it does it. The light isn't on all the time and I have never changed the fuel filter

I you have more than 50000 miles on it I would definitely change that. its starving for fuel! it's about plugged up

GO GET A NEW ONE! the frequency of replacement can be found in owners manual
