Can a neutral safety switch be replaced in my 2004 Dodge 4x4 truck by your average Joe or is that something best left to the pros?

My 2004 Dodge truck wouldn't start or even turn over but lights were strong and battery
was at a full charge. As soon as the tow truck showed up and I moved the gear shift to
neutral as well as the transfer case, the truck started right up. I want to know if replacing
the neutral safety switch is something that I can do or is it best left to the pros?

It's a fairly simple job once you locate it. I'm unfamilar with the location on a 2004 Dodge Ram. On my '90 Grand Caravan it's just above the trans fluid pan and can be replaced in about 5 minutes....
