Fuel pump?

Changed the fuel pump when my 2003
Dodge Ram 1500 suddenly died and would
start, but not continue to run. Was told it was
the pump. Did not solve the problem. Any
ideas? No noise or or other symptoms prior
to problem.

Up to 30 minutes at first, then most I can get it to run is 5 min. Even changed the battery. It did make a difference if the heater was on.

    The truck fired right up and then shut off after about 30 minutes. Couldn’t get the truck to start up and wasn’t hearing the fuel pump. A few hours later the truck fired right up.
