2003 Dodge ram 1500 slt stalled and shaking engine died

Asked by Guru6C8JD Mar 19, 2020 at 02:31 AM about the 2003 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey there, so I started up my ram one day and it
tried to turn over but just couldn't, left it for a day
and tried again....started up with slight hesitation.
Then I began driving on the highway ( doing about
80), I began to lose acceleration and the brakes
and steering locked up and it began to shake
slightly. Once I tried to start it backup it started to
shake quite violently. I had it towed and now it's
back to trying to turn over but can't Andi have a
flashing CEL.
- changed crankshaft position sensor, gas cap,
spark plugs
-checked camshaft sensor (looked like new)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank
you

I'm in the same boat, had the same replacements as well as changed mass air flow sensor, alternator, fuel pump and ignition switch but nothing yet. How many times is the CEL blinking?
