How to unfreeze a Dodge 1500 rear end

Asked by Hope May 11, 2017 at 01:54 AM about the 2003 Dodge RAM 1500 ST Quad Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Dodge 1500 2WD 4.7 V8 that
is stuck on the beach because the rear end
froze up. A tow truck is wanting to charge
me $1500 just to get it off the beach, which I
can not afford. Any suggestions as to what I
can try tip get the rear end unfrozen so that I
can have anyone with a 4X4 tow it for me?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,
Panicking on the Beach

No, not much you can do right there, your stuck. The rear axles would need to be pulled out in-order to fix the differential. To do any type of work on the beach would be a environmental hazard.
