Mysterious broken wire under hood - 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7

Asked by MtnSquid Sep 10, 2018 at 11:35 AM about the 2003 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab LB 4WD

I have a single green wire coming thru the firewall into the engine
compartment just right and slightly under the Master Cylinder ending near
front of truck....it's broken off something at its end but I can't see where it
broke from? Can anybody help me?

Last pic...broken end....wire is copper core and green covering...it stretches almost to the radiator for the A/C compressor fan shroud

That looks like an aftermarket add on. Say, a remote starter or ambient temp sensor or fog lights. What if any aftermarket addons do you have on the pickup?

No aftermarket add-ons at all except a trailer hitch brake and those wires all go to the back of the truck...already checked those.

Have not been able to locate the wire coming into the passenger compartment under dash....yet....sorry. I don't have truck till later today.....wife borrowed it.
