These have a small stub shaft that comes out of the front end. They are known for stripping the teeth on them. You have to take the front cover off, take the 5/16 head bolt out, slide the pin out, take the half moon retaining clip out and pull the axle

You also have to pull the wheel, caliper, rotor, wheel bearing off too.

I do have another front end I can put in it. Just don't have the time to do so. How much would that part cost to replace

It has been a while but I think passenger. You can tell by the little short shaft coming out of the front end with joint. Once you get the cover off you will know.

I think I am in the same situation. I'm sure I really screwed my 4x4. The 4x4 light comes on but doesn't engage. What is the part I need to repair it?
