dodge ram wont shift out of park, no brake lights

Asked by guito99 Aug 14, 2014 at 10:21 PM about the 2002 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

All brake lights on my 02 dodge ram 1500 stopped working, so I replaced the brake light switch. I actually  did it twice because I thought I did it wrong the first time. I followed the directions very carefully, and I'm very confident its correct. Now the brake lights still don't work, and I can't shift the truck out of park. What is going on?
