2002 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 won’t idle

Asked by Charles Jul 17, 2018 at 12:26 AM about the 2002 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently did an engine swap on my ram (another
5.9 went in) now it will run only if I keep on the gas,
otherwise it dies. I’ve replaced just about every
sensor you can name, already did IAC and TPS.
Any ideas?

Qwik n dirty...unhook the battery, both terminals, n short them together for a count of 10-15 seconds. Hook the battery back up n take her for a drive. Let her warm up good, drive her around for bout 15-20 minutes, then see what happens. If this doesn't fix the problem, do you have access to a scanner with live data monitor?

I don’t have access to that, and it can’t be hand timed either. If I call around I can probably find someone that can come out that has one of the live action data monitor. But I think it might just need flashed
